Phytochemical Analysis of Two Medicinally Important Wild Plants - Physalis Angulata and Rivea Hypocrateriformis

Author(s) Mr. Yogeshwar S. Koli, Dr. R. T. Jadhav

Abstract The study investigates the phytochemical composition of two medicinally important wild plants, Physalis angulata and Rivea hypocrateriformis. Qualitative screening revealed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, terpenoids, and glycosides. Methanolic extracts showed the highest concentration of bioactive compounds. The results support the traditional medicinal use of both plants and indicate their potential as natural sources of antioxidant and antimicrobial agents.
