Abstract The Indian economy has witnessed significant transformations since independence, moving from a socialist model to a liberalized economy. This research paper explores the historical trends, structural features, key challenges, and future prospects of the Indian economy. It highlights the impact of economic reforms, infrastructural challenges, population growth, and income disparity. The paper also examines the role of agriculture, industry, and the service sector while analyzing government initiatives aimed at achieving economic progress by 2047.
