Abstract	Renal hydatid cysts are a rare manifestation of echinococcosis, especially in pediatric cases. Diagnosis can be challenging, and delayed diagnosis may lead to larger cysts, increasing the risk of complications and the potential need for nephrectomy. Here, we present a case of a renal hydatid cyst in a pediatric patient, emphasizing the rarity of such cases in this age group. We discuss the diagnostic approach, highlighting the importance of early recognition and treatment to avoid the need for nephrectomy and to improve patient outcomes
