| Abstract | Education plays a crucial role in the advancement of a nation and society, serving as a foundation for economic prosperity. Despite efforts to enhance education among Scheduled Tribes post-independence, the Siddi Tribe in Karnataka faces unique challenges due to traditional practices, low literacy rates, and poverty. Factors contributing to their low educational status in the Uttara Kannada district of Yellapur, India, include limited access to schools, poor living conditions, and parental neglect towards their children's schooling, as revealed through primary and secondary data analysis conducted in two villages. |
