Abstract The study investigates the relationship between community participation and the management of Muslim-founded secondary schools in Mbale City, Eastern Uganda. The research specifically examines how resource mobilization affects school management. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected through questionnaires and interviews using a mixed-methods approach and a cross-sectional survey design. Findings reveal a strong positive and significant correlation between resource mobilization and effective school management (r = .983, n = 290, P = 0.01 < .05), indicating that effective resource mobilization enhances school functionality, teacher motivation, and the availability of instructional materials. Additionally, active participation in school meetings fosters harmony and collaborative decision-making among parents, students, and school staff, further supporting effective management. The study concludes that resource mobilization and participation in school meetings are critical for the effective management of these schools. Recommendations include creating avenues for resource mobilization and encouraging parental support to enhance school management.
