The Economic Valorization of University Research - Case of the Moroccan University

Abstract	Long ago, the university was conceived as an autonomous institution from its socio-economic context. However, due to its privileged position in the production and dissemination of knowledge produced through various research activities, it plays a crucial role in responding to the changes currently experienced by economies. Today, it is called upon more than ever to redefine its missions and to fully play its role as a key actor in economic and social development at both local and national levels. Recently, the Moroccan university has been subject to a new legal framework in our country, assigning it the possibility of socio-economic development through the economic exploitation of the knowledge produced by its research activities. Therefore, this paper aims to empirically explore this issue of economic valorization of university research through a case study.
