| Abstract | Education is a process of learning and developing knowledge, skill and character traits. It can take many forms including formal, non-formal and informal learning. Swami Vivekananda says no expectation of the progress of a family or a country can be achieved where women are not educated and are leading a pitiable life. Women education is very important for the country to fully develop. It is like an effective medicine to cure a patient completely and provide health back. According Mahatma Gandhi, “By education I mean an all-round drawing out of the best in man body, mind and spirit.” Women, has given a prominent place in the family set-up by our heritage and culture. Today in the modern age women, has an important role to play in the national development at large. |
