Abstract Mergers and acquisitions have long been the most preferred method of inorganic company growth. It is frequently used to restructure corporate structures. Companies engage in mergers and acquisitions for strategic business reasons that are, in theory, purely financial. This study offers an effort to assess the impact of the acquiring firms' previous and subsequent financial performance.
