Abstract This article reviews the advantages, difficulties, and disadvantages of artificial intelligence (AI) in this field and suggests potential strategies and approaches for overcoming the current obstacles. AI has the potential to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and speed of the drug discovery process, but its successful application depends on the availability of high-quality data, the resolution of ethical issues, and the understanding of the limitations of AI-based approaches.
