Abstract | The global environmental concerns are mostly attributable to the automotive industry, namely in relation to greenhouse gas emissions, consumption of resources, and waste generation. The automotive industry is under increasing pressure to implement more sustainable practices as the globe grows more and more in favour of sustainability. This paper examines the numerous tactics and technological advancements being used in vehicle manufacture and design to promote environmental sustainability. It looks at waste reduction, material selection, energy efficiency in manufacturing processes, vehicle design using a lifecycle approach, and the role of technology in promoting sustainable development. The paper also addresses the obstacles and potential paths for sustainable car manufacture, highlighting the necessity of industry-wide cooperation, legislative backing, and ongoing innovation. |
