| Abstract | Child development is a multifaceted process, encompassing both physical and mental aspects that are deeply interconnected. While the growth of the body is often considered separately from cognitive development, recent studies suggest that these two domains of development are closely linked and influence each other in significant ways. This paper explores the relationship between mental and physical development in children, emphasizing the role of early social interactions, physical activities, and environmental factors in shaping cognitive and physical health. A sociological perspective is adopted to investigate how various societal factors, including socioeconomic status, education, and family dynamics, contribute to this complex interaction. By analyzing existing literature and theories, the paper seeks to provide a holistic understanding of the interdependence between mental and physical growth in early childhood. |
