Egocentrism And Dispute: Fire In Hust Of South And East China Sea

Abstract | There is an ongoing conflict of interests among countries in the South China Sea (SCS) and East China Sea (ECS) regions. The interests of superpower countries in maintaining their supremacy and their interests, has given a rise to egocentrism and realism in a zigzag international relations. The unseparated realist historical approach that are dynamic and metamorphosed throughout the time was the theoretical framework and method used in this study. There were findings on the ups and downs of international relations among countries in the SCS and ECS regions, filled with conflicts-negotiations-resolutions-agreements-violationsrolling zigzag and metamorphosing. Conflicts-thus-were used to live side by side with the motive of controlling, utilizing the wealth of marine resources, substantive energy sources, and access to shipping traffic and trade. |
