Abstract | This research paper focused on evaluating the role of gold in India’s foreign exchange reserves. India's foreign exchange reserves are ranked fourth globally, after only China, Japan, and Switzerland. The Reserve Bank of India's emphasis on expanding gold holdings and strengthening foreign exchange reserves demonstrates a proactive approach to financial management. The figures show a stronger import cover, a healthier debt structure, and better foreign exchange reserve management. These advances strengthen India's financial stability and resilience in the face of global economic crises. |
