Abstract | In the rapidly evolving landscape of software development, ensuring high code quality is paramount for the long-term success, scalability, and security of software systems. Despite the availability of numerous tools and methodologies, there remains a lack of a comprehensive, standardized framework that holistically addresses the critical aspects of code quality. This research proposes a Standard Code Quality Model that integrates five essential components: readability, maintainability, reliability, efficiency, and security. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining a thorough literature review with empirical validation through case studies and expert feedback. The results indicate strong support for the model, with the majority of respondents affirming the impact of readability guidelines, maintainability practices, and security measures. By adopting the model, developers can produce code that is not only functional but also robust, scalable, and secure. Future research could explore the integration of emerging technologies, automation, and industry-specific adaptations to further enhance the model's applicability and effectiveness. |
