| Abstract | Automation is bringing about development and uncertainty with it as it increasingly transforms industries. While technology development promotes productivity and economic progress, they also pose a danger to traditional job markets, particularly in emerging economies. This paper explains how automation is changing the nature of work, the hardest-hit industries, and how steps can be taken to make the transition from human labor to automation a fair and sustainable one. |
