| Abstract | Abstract: Eco-tourism, is a form of sustainable travel that emphasizes the conservation of nature and the well-being of local communities. India’s cultural richness, reflected in its myriad languages, cuisines, and traditions, enhances the appeal of its eco-tourism destinations. This diversity provides a unique opportunity to integrate ecological preservation with cultural appreciation, creating a holistic travel experience. Eco-tourism in India presents a myriad of opportunities, not only for the preservation of the environment but also for socio-economic development. Several issues, ranging from environmental degradation to socio- economic complexities, hinder the growth and implementation of eco-tourism initiatives. Addressing these challenges is critical to ensuring that eco-tourism remains a viable and sustainable model for the future. |
