| Abstract | The aim of this research paper is to elucidate the multifaceted biological, genetic, and environmental determinants of longevity, with a particular emphasis on the complex interactions between genetic variations, cellular processes, and systemic mechanisms that collectively contribute to lifespan extension. This investigation seeks to explore the intricate molecular pathways involved in aging, such as telomere attrition, mitochondrial dysfunction, and epigenetic modifications, while also considering the influence of extrinsic factors like lifestyle, diet, and environmental exposures. Furthermore, a comprehensive research was conducted across multiple academic databases to ensure the inclusion of high-quality reviewed articles. Key findings, methodologies, results, and conclusions from the selected papers were extracted and organized into categories such as genetic factors, environmental influences, anti-aging interventions, and the role of the immune system. The research on longevity demonstrates that aging is a complex, multifaceted process influenced by a combination of genetic, epigenetic, immunological, and environmental factors. While genetic predispositions set the foundation for lifespan, lifestyle choices and external factors play a significant role in modulating aging processes. Advances in understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms of aging offer potential therapeutic targets for extending healthy lifespan and preventing age-related diseases. However, ethical, social, and biological challenges remain, as interventions aimed at promoting longevity could have wide-reaching consequences for society. |
