Tailored Module Development in Odoo: Challenges And Solution (Developers’ Guide)

Abstract	Odoo is an open-source,comprehensive and modular EPR platformthat provides businesses with a wide rangeof built-in modules to address a wide rangeof business functions. But for unique andspecialized business needs Odoo providesthe functionality of making custom modulesfor enhancing and providing best qualityresults for EPR. Odoo offers two editions i.e.Odoo Enterprise Edition And OdooCommunity Edition. Odoo Enterprise editionand Odoo Community Edition each havearound 70-80 and 150-200 built-in modulesrespectively including core and extendedfeatures. This paper examines the design,development, deployment as well as thechallenges and solution of creating tailoredmodules in Odoo.This researchdemonstrates the adaptability andscalability of Odoo's architecture by goinginto detail about the procedure, includingmodel generation, user interfacecustomisation, and security measures.Wedemonstrate through this research that theopen-source nature and modulararchitecture Odoo offers a solid foundationof creating customized ERP capabilities.
