Abstract | Abstract Employee retention is a critical challenge for organizations, especially in the IT sector, where high turnover rates can lead to increased recruitment costs, loss of institutional knowledge, and decreased productivity. This study explores the key factors influencing employee retention in the IT sector of Tenkasi. Using primary data collected through structured questionnaires from 150 IT employees, as well as secondary data from existing literature, the study identifies major determinants such as compensation and benefits, career development opportunities, work-life balance, job satisfaction, and the organizational environment. Factor analysis and statistical tools such as SPSS were employed to analyze the data. The findings suggest that financial security, professional growth opportunities, supportive management, and a positive work culture significantly impact employee retention. The study highlights the importance of proactive human resource strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and reduce turnover. Based on the results, recommendations are provided to help IT companies in Tenkasi to improve their retention strategies and create a more engaged workforce. |
