A Comaparative Study Of Home Loan Procedure And Customer Satisfaction With Reference To SBI And HDFC

Abstract | This research provides a comparative analysis of the home loan processes and customer satisfaction between two prominent financial institutions in India: the State Bank of India (SBI) and Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC). As the demand for housing finance continues to rise, the study examines key factors like loan application procedures, documentation, interest rates, processing times, customer service, and digital banking platforms. Using primary data from 160 respondents in Coimbatore and secondary sources, the study applies statistical tools such as descriptive analysis, independent samples t-test, principal component analysis (PCA), and binomial logistic regression. The findings reveal that HDFC is preferred due to faster processing, clearer communication, and better digital banking services, while SBI offers reliability but lags in digital adoption and speed. The study highlights the importance of service quality, communication clarity, and digital experience in shaping customer satisfaction. It concludes by providing insights and recommendations to both borrowers and banks for enhancing home loan services. |
