Abstract | The present study describes a new species of the genus Senga, based on a lucida camera drawing named Senga ashwiniae nov. sp., discovered in Mastacembalus armatus at Niwali Dam, Taluka Jintur, District Parbhani, Maharashtra. This parasite differs from other known species of the genus Senga in several aspects, including the shape and size of the scolex, the number and arrangement of hooks and rostellum, the shape of the segments, the number of testes, the position of the cirrus pouch, and the arrangement of the vitellaria. |
