Parental Involvement  in Student Achievement and Success

Abstract	This paper seeks to understand the role of parentalinvolvement in student achievement and success. Parentswho take an active role in their children's education can help to create a positive learning environment thatencourages academic growth and development. Byproviding support, guidance, and encouragement, parentscan help their children to succeed academically, socially,and emotionally. Parental involvement can take manyforms, including participating in school events,communicating with teachers, monitoring their child'sprogress, and providing support for learning at home.Parents are broadly acknowledged to be essentialpartners in the college process of their children, withparental involvement being linked to a positive impact onacademic achievement.
