Abstract | ABSTRACT This study investigates cybersecurity awareness, knowledge, practices, institutional support, and the factors influencing cybersecurity awareness among undergraduate students across various academic institutions in Laguna province. Using a descriptive quantitative research design, the study utilized a structured survey to gather data from 53 college students, assessing their understanding of cybersecurity threats, their engagement with secure online behaviors, and the support provided by their universities. Participants from five distinct institutions provided valuable insights into the current state of cybersecurity awareness, highlighting both strengths and gaps in institutional efforts to educate and support students in this area. The findings emphasize the importance of enhancing cybersecurity education and integrating comprehensive cybersecurity awareness programs within higher education to improve students’ preparedness against evolving cyber threats. These insights offer actionable recommendations for institutions to develop more robust cybersecurity education frameworks and foster a culture of digital responsibility among students. |
