Relationship Between Procrastination and Self-Esteem among Young Adults

Author(s) Ms. Vanshika Goswami, Dr. Ritu Raj
Country India
Abstract This research explores the link between procrastination and self-esteem in young adults, focusing on the underlying psychological dynamics. Procrastination, often associated with avoidance and delay, can have significant repercussions on self-esteem, as individuals may feel guilt, frustration, or self-doubt when failing to meet deadlines. The study investigates whether low self-esteem contributes to procrastination or if habitual procrastination negatively affects self-esteem. By employing surveys and psychological scales to assess both variables, the research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of these interconnected behaviors and their implications for mental health and personal development.
Keywords Procrastination, self-esteem, young adults.
