Abstract | The COVID-19 pandemic significantly disrupted the global education system, forcing schools to shift from traditional classroom setups to remote and modular learning modalities. In the Philippines, the Department of Education (DepEd) implemented the Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) to ensure that education delivery continued despite health and safety challenges. As the situation stabilized, the transition back to face-to-face teaching required careful assessment of teacher readiness, particularly in areas affected by prolonged distance learning. This study focuses on the Junior High School teachers of Malita West District, exploring their preparedness to resume face-to-face instruction in terms of knowledge and skills, availability of teaching and learning materials, and the strength of their learner support systems. Understanding their level of readiness is crucial in developing innovation plans and capacity-building programs to ensure the effective delivery of quality education in the post-pandemic era. |
