Abstract Background: This study offers an in-depth analysis about grand care presentation in the nursing program. It is a method for nursing students to develop their knowledge, skills, and attitude through training, and teamwork. It seeks to improve the quality of nursing case presentation and highlight the development of professionalism in the nursing program. The case presentation enables student-nurses to integrate clinical nursing practice with scientific research and evidence-based nursing knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Objective: The ultimate goal of the researchers is to provide a deeper understanding of what constitutes an excellent grand case presentation for nursing students.

Methods: A descriptive quantitative study investigated the factors influencing the quality of grand case presentations among 124 first-year nursing students. Data were collected via a survey questionnaire from five sections of nursing students, assessing socio-demographic profiles, delivery (clarity, relevance, analysis, evidence), quality (engagement, confidence, voice, visuals), and overall assessment. Statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics and Pearson’s correlation, was employed to determine the relationships between variables.

Results: The grand case presentations were rated high in delivery and quality, with an overall assessment of "great extent". Positive correlations were found between delivery and quality (r=0.659), delivery and overall assessment (r=0.568), and quality and overall assessment (r=0.681).The study demonstrates that effective delivery, characterized by clear objectives, relevant content, strong analysis, and engaging presentation style, significantly impacts the perceived quality and overall assessment of grand case presentations.

Conclusion: The findings underscore the dual importance of pedagogical content knowledge and effective delivery methods in fostering student success. Moving forward, research should prioritize the development and evaluation of targeted training programs designed to bolster both areas. Specifically, innovations to improve content expertise and refine instructional techniques, ultimately leading to more engaging and impactful learning experiences for students most importantly in case presentations.
