The Role of Polynomials in Solving Algebraic Equations

Author(s) Mr. Aniruddha Kumar

Abstract Polynomial equations form the backbone of modern algebra, serving as indispensable tools across scientific and engineering disciplines. These mathematical expressions, characterized by variables with non-negative integer exponents and their coefficients, enable the modeling and solution of complex problems in fields ranging from quantum physics to financial analysis. This paper presents a systematic examination of polynomial theory, beginning with fundamental classifications and progressing through both traditional and contemporary solution methods. We explore the evolution of solving techniques from ancient algebraic methods to modern computational algorithms, while highlighting significant applications in technology and science. The discussion emphasizes current numerical approaches and their implementation in solving real-world problems where exact solutions prove intractable.
