Abstract | Innovative pedagogical approaches are essential for meeting the needs of 21st-century classrooms because they align with the demands of a rapidly changing world and the diverse learning styles of students. The present paper focuses on pedagogical approaches in teaching and learning with reference to NEP2020. It highlights broad categories of pedagogical approaches like Behaviourism, Constructivism, Social Constructivism, and Liberationist. Focussing on holistic education proposed by NEP2020, the paper pointed out different innovative pedagogical approaches and modes of teaching and learning namely; offline, online and blended modes of teaching /learning. The innovative pedagogical approaches play a crucial role in preparing learners for success in the 21st century by equipping them with the critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and adaptability skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. |
