Lexical Varieties in Bucas Grande Island

Abstract This study aimed to contextualize the lexical varieties in Bucas Grande Island such as the Surigaonon – Socorronhon – Tagalog and English in order to identify the dialect lexicon forms of the language from the said island through lexical categories or parts of speech which Socorronhon language had 25% out of 570 lexicon words were the similarities and dissimilarities of lexicon words occurred. The morphological features which focused the affixation (prefixes, suffixes, and infixes) of the lexicon varieties included, and the parts of speech commonly uses noun, verb, and adjectives. The new lexical forms almost equally use the identification of context on the intuitive ability of a language user as it is attracted and caught the attention of the environment of many linguistics minded. It can be developed and be preserved for the future generations of Bucas Grande and be uniquely known worldwide communication as language international references. Specifically, it would be adoptable and being engaged when encountering outside from the sole island. The researcher used purposive random, convenience sampling or the method of qualitative text design. The participants of each barangay done impromptu including the returnees and residents who migrated in Bucas Grande Island, Surigao del Norte were the research study being conducted. The ethical considerations and data gathering procedures being applied. The on-site immersion of the said locale from the validated research forms, note-taking, interviews, documentations and the collaboration based from the letter requests and resolutions approved were used in gathering the data.
