Abstract This study examines the role of the Digital India initiative in transforming rural service delivery and governance. By analyzing key platforms like Common Service Centres (CSCs), BharatNet, DigiLocker, and eSanjeevani, it highlights how digital technologies have enhanced access, transparency, and efficiency in rural India. However, it also identifies persistent challenges such as infrastructure gaps, digital literacy deficits, and social exclusion. The research underscores the importance of community participation, localized digital strategies, and inclusive policy frameworks to bridge the rural-urban digital divide. The findings offer practical recommendations for strengthening rural digital governance and achieving equitable development.
