To study diversity of Zooplanktons from Ujani Dam of Indapur Tehsil Maharashtra

Abstract	Zooplanktons are heterotopic plankton, which are small microscopic organisms and freely swimming in water & feed on phytoplankton as well as debris. They are classified into groups like Cladocera, Copepoda, Rotifera and Ostracoda each with distinct ecological roles They are a diverse group of microscopic organisms in various aquatic ecosystem. In the present investigation that deal with the diversity of zooplanktons in Ujani dam about 14 species were found at a sampling site Among all species 9 belongs to Arthropoda and 5 species belong to Rotifera. The Arthropoda was dominant Phylum of zooplankton recorded in study area about 64% abundance followed by rotifera 36%. From the Phylum Arthropoda Zooplanktons of class Branchiopoda (3), Copepoda (3) & Ostracoda (3) are found. From the Phylum Rotifera all members from class Monogononta and Order Ploima are found
