Abstract | Complementary feeding practices are crucial for the growth and development of children aged 6–23 months. Despite their importance, these practices remain suboptimal in India, contributing significantly to malnutrition. Key indicators such as Minimum Dietary Diversity (MDD), Minimum Meal Frequency (MMF), and Minimum Acceptable Diet (MAD) highlight inadequacies, with disparities influenced by socioeconomic, geographic, and cultural factors. Government programs like the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and Poshan Abhiyaan aim to address these issues, but implementation challenges persist. |
