| Abstract | Judicial activism refers to the proactive role played by the judiciary in protecting rights, ensuring justice, and interpreting the constitution in a dynamic and evolving manner. It occurs when judges go beyond the traditional role of interpreting laws and instead make decisions that can lead to new policies or legal standards. Often emerging in response to legislative or executive inaction, judicial activism serves as a tool to uphold democratic values, social justice, and constitutional morality. |
