Abstract | Railway crossings are critical points where accidents and delays often occur due to human error and inefficient manual operations. This paper presents an IoT-based automated railway gate system designed to enhance safety and operational efficiency. The system integrates sensors, a microcontroller, a servo motor, and an IoT platform to enable real-time train detection, autonomous gate control, and remote monitoring. The sensors detect approaching trains, triggering the servo motor to operate the gate with precision, while LED indicators provide clear visual signals for vehicles. The IoT platform ensures instant alerts and updates to railway authorities, improving response times and system transparency. By minimizing human intervention, reducing delays, and ensuring a systematic, scalable, and accident-free railway crossing experience, this solution offers a reliable, efficient, and technologically advanced approach to railway safety. |
