Emergency Arbitration an Indian Perspective

Author(s) Mr. Pankaj Thakur
Country India
Abstract Indian law has been very well drafted but as society constantly develop new form of crime emerge and thus need to resolve them as quick as possible is necessary. Due to this the concept of arbitration developed and also emergency arbitration. Aim of emergency arbitration is to provide interim releif to parties. However we find no mention of emergency arbitration in the arbitration and conciliation act though Indian law has been very well drafted. Emergency arbitration in India is mostly done by arbitraion institute like mumbai arbitration centre following their rule. Emeregency arbitration is a powerful weapon on hands of parties to get releif before actual arbtiration take place in case parties have arbitraiton clause in the agreement.
