Abstract | Employee mental well-being is increasingly recognized as a crucial factor driving organizational success, influencing productivity, staff retention, and overall workplace morale. This study investigated the effectiveness of a structured corporate wellness program on the mental well-being of employees within a mid-sized company in Bangalore, India. Prior to the intervention, the organization faced challenges indicated by a notable attrition rate and anecdotal evidence of high burnout and disengagement. Utilizing a pre-test/post-test quasi-experimental design, the study measured employee mental well-being using the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMWBS) before and after a three-month wellness program. The program incorporated diverse components, including mindfulness and meditation sessions, fitness and yoga workshops, educational webinars on stress and sleep, optional individual counselling, and access to digital resources. Participation was voluntary and open to employees across all departments. Statistical analysis revealed a significant increase in mental well-being scores among participants following program completion. Subgroup observations suggested particularly positive changes among younger employees, females, and those in full-time roles. These findings suggest that targeted corporate wellness initiatives can positively influence employee mental health outcomes and may contribute to improved engagement and retention. The research provides empirical support for investing in comprehensive well-being strategies and offers practical insights for organizations aiming to enhance their workforce's mental health through structured programming. |
