Abstract Values Education has long been perceived as crucial component of holistic student development, especially in molding ethical behaviour and character. In the Philippines, the Department of Education (DepEd) has integrated Values Education into the curriculum to foster moral integrity, social responsibility, and constructive interaction among students. The relevance of Values Education becomes notably important in the context of challenges faced by students. As young individuals progress through their formative years, the principles imparted through Values Education can function as guiding compass, directing them towards ethical conduct both personal and in general context. However, there is a growing concern that values are deteriorating, particularly among the younger generation. By integrating Values Education into the academic curriculum, we can provide students with a foundational framework on values. This research examined the influence of Values Education on the ethical behaviour of the students, in alignment with DepEd Values Education program to nurture moral and ethical development in learners. The researcher employed the mixed methods design using the Sequential Explanatory Design. The quantitative design allowed the researcher to rigorously evaluate the impact of Values Education on students’ ethical behaviour alongside qualitative for deeper understanding. Data were gathered using the Survey-Questionnaire, interview and observation checklist. Findings revealed that Values Education program under the recalibrated MATATAG Curriculum of DepEd is effectively supporting students in developing ethical awareness and practical life skills. Although students strongly associate the relevance of Values Education with personal development, other stakeholders like parents, teachers, and guidance counselors perceived a much weaker or negligible impact.
