Abstract | Recruitment and selection are essential functions within human resource management, playing a critical role in ensuring that organizations bring in the right talent to support their strategic goals. As competition for skilled and experienced professionals increases, companies face growing challenges in identifying and attracting top candidates. To address this, many businesses are turning to innovative recruitment strategies and advanced tools such as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). These technologies streamline and speed up the hiring process, making it more efficient and effective. Recruitment focuses on drawing in a broad pool of qualified applicants by promoting job openings through various channels, including online job boards, social media, and employee referrals. It aims to ensure there are enough suitable candidates to choose from. Selection, on the other hand, is the process of evaluating those candidates and choosing the one who best fits the role and the company culture. This step often involves interviews, assessments, background checks, and reference verifications. Both recruitment and selection need to be carried out carefully and systematically to ensure the company hires individuals who can contribute positively to its success and long-term objectives. |
