| Abstract | This study explores how modular and adaptive seating can enhance the functionality and flexibility of bakehouses catering to both small and large crowds. It examines seating as a spatial and social tool, focusing on ergonomics, reconfigurability, and mobility to improve user experience and operational flow. Through case studies like IKEA, Godrej Interio, Pepperfry, and DAMRO, the research highlights the balance between aesthetics, durability, and modularity. It also emphasizes joinery techniques—such as slot-tab and KD systems—that enable easy assembly, transport, and reuse. The paper proposes a holistic furniture design approach for bakehouses, integrating sustainable materials and modular logic to create user-centric, adaptable spaces that foster community, efficiency, and brand identity. |
