Mexico’s Digital Leap: G20-Driven Technological Transformation and Public Infrastructure Evolution

Author(s) Mr. POORAK GUPTA
Country India
Abstract This paper explores Mexico’s evolving Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) within the framework of the G20, highlighting its critical role in accelerating national digital transformation and inclusive socio-economic development. By analyzing Mexico's "Digital Strategy 2021–2024" and sector-specific reforms in telecommunications, healthcare, education, and the space industry, the study illustrates how digitalization is reshaping public service delivery and innovation ecosystems. The paper also examines key initiatives such as Smart Cities, open banking, and telemedicine, while addressing persistent challenges like digital inequality, limited broadband access, fragmented governance, and underfunded infrastructure. Drawing on global best practices and comparative data, the research underscores the importance of coherent policy design, public-private partnerships, and international cooperation. Ultimately, Mexico's engagement with the G20 is positioned as both a catalyst and a compass guiding its journey toward digital sovereignty, economic resilience, and sustainable growth.
