Abstract | Infectious disease outbreaks pose significant threats to public health and require effective measures for prevention and response. public health law plays a crucial role in providing a legal framework to support these efforts.the study employs a comprehensive research methodology, including a review of existing literature, analysis of relevant legal frameworks, and interviews with key stakeholders involved in public health management in chennai. the research explores the legal mechanisms in place for disease surveillance, reporting, investigation, and control, as well as the extent to which these measures are effectively implemented.the empirical research is done with the sample size of 204 . the sampling method is convenient sampling .the sample frame is in and around chennai . the independent variables are age , gender , educational qualification, occupation , locality . the dependent variables are the role of public health law in preventing the spread of infectious disease, individuals and communities have a responsibility to comply with public health laws to prevent the spread of infectious diseases,what measures do you think should be put in place to ensure compliance with public health laws during an outbreak,how important do you think public health law is in preventing the spread of infectious diseases. rate 1 to 10, is it challenging to balance individual rights with public health considerations in public health law during an outbreak. the statistical tool used in this research paper is spss graph analysis . findings from this study will contribute to a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of public health law in preventing and responding to infectious disease outbreaks, specifically in the context of chennai. the research outcomes can inform policymakers, public health officials, and legal practitioners in designing and implementing robust legal frameworks for infectious disease control, with the aim of improving public health outcomes and strengthening emergency preparedness. |
