Abstract This study investigated the effect of school environment, teacher-related factors, and student dynamics on the use of Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) in kindergarten classrooms within the Division of Mati City for School Year 2024–2025. Data were acquired by means of survey questionnaires using a quantitative design and total enumeration of 73 permanent kindergarten teachers. Results revealed that although DAP is being used successfully, its full implementation is hampered by issues like poor parental support, insufficient facilities, and misunderstandings of DAP concepts among teachers. While student involvement and good teacher practices made a big difference, problems including student preparedness and peer dynamics also influence results. There were strong relationships between DAP implementation and the three factors examined, with school environment factor emerging as the most significant. The study recommends implementing structured Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs, better infrastructure, child-centered leadership development, and focused professional development. Sustaining effective DAP implementation also depends critically on strengthening home-school-community ties and supporting policies.
