Abstract The construction industry requires huge quantities of materials like cement, sand, and coarse aggregate. So, an increase in construction activities has increase in demand cost of various construction materials in concrete. This is the main reason to research on alternative raw materials as ingredients of concrete that are in no way inferior to conventional materials by partly replacing the ingredients with different proportions in concrete mixture. The strength of concrete can be determined. The development of new and cheaper materials that can fully (or) partly replace of cement, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate in civil engineering construction will be useful for reducing the cost of the construction. Natural river sand plays vital role in concrete mixture, but is become high cost due to the excessive cost of transportation from sources. Also, the large-scale depletion of resource creates environmental problems. Unfortunately, the production of cement also involves releasing a more amount of carbon dioxide gas into the environment, a major contributor to the greenhouse effect and global warming. The manufacturing of cement the carbon dioxide is releases then emissions to air is the main reason to change environment it causes air pollution, noise pollution and solid waste pollution. To overcome all those problems there is a need to introduce eco-friendly materials. So, here introducing a new type of natural fibers to concrete which is less in cost and not harmful to environment. The fibers plays vital role in concrete. The area compressive effort is made to partially add to the cement with recron fiber. The recron fiber is mostly used in lintels, beams, columns, foundations, roads, pavements, plastering and flooring. The main parameter investigated in this study is M40 grade concrete mixture with partial replacement of cement with recron fiber by varying percentages of 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, and 2.5% and find out the compressive strength, split tensile strength were tested for the strength properties of concrete at 7days, 14 days, and 28 days.
