Author(s) Dr. Aprell Largo Abellana
Country Philippines
Abstract This study examined the predictors of job satisfaction among secondary school teachers in the Department of Education, Philippines utilizing regression analysis. Of the three (3) sub-variables of well-being which are subjective well-being, mental well-being and financial well-being and the three (3) sub-variables of school culture which are school characteristics, school cohesion and school emphasis, it was found out that mental well-being and school cohesion are the predictors of job satisfaction of secondary school teachers. Findings highlight the importance of addressing teachers' mental health and fostering a cohesive school environment. However, other unmeasured factors also contribute to job satisfaction. The study provides insights for administrators and policymakers to develop strategies supporting teacher mental well-being and school cohesion. Recommendations include implementing mental health support programs and conducting further research on additional job satisfaction factors across different contexts.
