An Experimental Study on Recycled Concrete Aggregates Utilized in Bituminous Mixtures

Abstract As construction increases with the growing population, concrete waste is becoming a bigger issue. This study looks at using recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) in hot mix asphalt for road construction. Different mixes were tested with up to 30% RCA, and their strength, durability, and moisture resistance were evaluated using the Marshall method. The results show that RCA can be a sustainable option for flexible pavements, with the best binder content ranging from 5% to 6%.
