Author(s) Dr. Chetan K
Country India
Abstract There will be 9.7 billion people on the earth by 2050, and over 70% of them will live in cities. This rapid urbanization has increased demand for fresh products, putting pressure on traditional farming methods. In cities, indoor agriculture—also known as vertical farming—offers a sustainable method of food production. This essay looks at the benefits, challenges, and potential uses of vertical farming, highlighting how it could increase food security, reduce environmental harm, and promote sustainable urban expansion.
Keywords Traditional agricultural, fresh products, vertical farming.
