Abstract Sustainable leather manufacturing is the production of leather using environmentally and socially responsible practices that minimize the negative impact on the environment and promote ethical treatment of animals and workers. Sustainable business practices continue to receive significant attention in academic, service and manufacturing industries. In a manufacturing industry like leather especially sustainable research has played a significant role in accelerating the adoption of sustainable manufacturing practices.
