Abstract | India is well-known to the Arab scholars since 6th - 7th century AD as a land of wisdom, love, sages, philosophers, astronomers, and geographical settings. The Arab poets, historians, geographers used to mention India's richness in various fields of qualities. Particularly during Abbasid era, the contemporary Arab king collected India's books, etc. and made translated it into Arabic. The Arab scholars also studied, analyzed them and learnt a lot from the Indian treasures. So India and Indian wisdom are still occupy a prominent part in the studies of Arabic language and literature through the centuries. Various studies have been done on the general studies relating to India through Arabic language and literature; but no study, so far my knowledge goes, has been undertaken or analyzed so deeply on the aforesaid topic with establishing it as a legend to the long time relation between the two regions as well. So the topic selected for study as ‘India in Arabic Literature : A legend to the Eternal Bond’. |
