| Abstract | This paper emphasizes on the difference between mainstream and indigenous feminism by focusing and studying the folktales of Lepcha an aboriginal community of Sikkim and Galo tribe of Arunachal Pradesh of North-East India. Thus, the paper stress on how imperative it is to take into consideration the indigenous perspective on feminism which is completely ignored and overshadowed by mainstream feminism. |
