Abstract | As forensic psychological testimony becomes increasingly prevalent in legal proceedings, courts face growing pressure to assess its scientific validity and legal admissibility. The Daubert standard, established by a landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision, provides a critical framework for evaluating expert evidence. This article explores the application of the Daubert criteria to psychological testing, identifies the unique challenges associated with admitting psychological evidence in court, and offers best practice guidelines for forensic psychologists operating within this evolving legal landscape. |
